Goddamn Smitty! There was a lot of anger behind that post. But, let’s set the record straight! Without those “clowns” from the Longshots, we definitely DO NOT WIN the championship last year! They were equally as important as Braun was to our success last year. I joke with John G. all the time, but seriously him and Glea are hitting machines! Those oldheads have played softball for many, many years. And you can tell by how perfect their softball swings are! And you do hit in the clutch. But, remember, you couldn’t buy a hit in our first 2 playoff series. Grant it you were hurt, but that’s the truth. But, you more than made up for it in the 3-game championship series, but don’t become delusional! Also, I would bet my life that all 8 of the guys slotted to bat ahead of you had higher batting averages than you last fall! (with the lone exception of maybe DeNofa.) But, that’s OK! This ain’t the old Moon anymore. Our team is pretty staked. We could mix and match the top 9 of our lineup, and it wouldn’t make much of a difference! We are all that close in hitting ability. The days of IF you, Cass, and me don’t hit; we have NO chance of winning are over. All 3 of us NOW could have a bad day, and because of the talent on the current team, we may still mercy-rule the other team! That’s where we are very fortunate. And that’s where you, as a very integral part of our team, should be happy instead of complaining! But, I love the fire and I hope your hitting the ball so well that we are forced to bat you 4th! I love your competitiveness, Smitty!
As a team leader and hardened veteran, I am disheartened and disgusted by the bitching and moaning I am reading about. Everybody on this team has a job to do...WORRY ABOUT THAT!!! Who's better than who, batting orders, who's going where in the field...this is all bullshit. We are gonna FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT, and we are gonna WIN WIN WIN!!! Everybody knows what they need to work on for March 24. Myself, KWolf, McKeever: Sobriety. JWolf, Braun, Denofa: Anger Management. Keith, Quinn: You two have no flaws, so just worry about showing up on time. Johnny G, Glea: Osteoporosis. DSparks: Not getting shown up by Keith in the Dance-off. Smitty: Fielding and Hitting. Fat Jack: Being rotund, getting the drink orders right.
This is our time. Focus on the task at hand, WANT IT, and take what's ours.
Yours in Christ,
Ca$$
PS: Just kidding about McKeever...He's cut.

Post subject: 7-8 hole
Kindly look at your post line-up maker...John Greenwald fears no abat!!He wants to be up at crunch time..His man exudes confidence..He'd take the fastball to RCF the curve to RCF the knuckler ,you name it ..Foot speed are you kidding me! Name a swifter mid 40's runner!Like the great singer Patrick Swayze sang "He's like the Wind".Myself Im as big game as big game can be..Im a rock at the HOT CORNER..While fighting cronic boredom watching yet another 3-0 count I remain alert and catlike in my pursuit of the pill!!!Bring it on !!While I'll never be mistaken for Rickey Henderson on the bases, a classic line drive stroke similar to another big cat A.Puloujs serves me and my team quite well!!!Your book is flawed and needs updating..

Post subject: Humbled
I am humbled by the post.... I should not seek a selfish refuge against others, especially, others on one's team. I will do unto the softball what I have been doing all along and hope that my fellow Full Moon 2 followers will soon see the light. If not, the meak shall inherit the championship once again. I leave with my followers these words of baseball wisdom which I an sure was translated from softball wisdom. I am in meditation now to arise full strength on Mar 24th...

Making Out the Lineup Card
Never wait to make your lineups while sitting on the bench before a game. The construction of the lineup is arguably one of the most critical items in pre-game preparation. Do it at home or in the office when there is a reflective silence around you.
The following is a conceptual approach to making out a batting order:
1. The leadoff man must be a patient batter. He should lead the team in bases on balls and fewest strikeouts. He needs a good eye at the plate because a walk is as good as a hit in his case. He must also be fast and will probably be among the top base stealers on the squad. He needs to lead the team in runs scored.
2. This hitter must be a good contact hitter with the ability to go with the pitch and drive it to the opposite field. He must also be able to bunt and he should have reasonable speed.
3. This is the best hitter you have. Bat him in the three hole to maximize the number of times he will go to the plate. He has the ability to drive in runs with extra base hits.
4. This batter is similar to number three, but may be more of a long-ball hitter and may have a few more strikeouts, as he is a free swinger. His foot speed may be slightly slower.
5. This is third straight long-ball RBI threat you send to the plate, and this player has the ability to lead the team in not only runs batted in, but also in strikeouts. This may be your slowest player. Be aware that some kids have trouble dealing with the pressure of spots one, three, and four in the order. There is less pressure in this position.
6. This batter is very similar to number two in the order as it is surprising how many times you will need a bunt from this batter.
7. & 8. These are your weakest batters who can still hit the fastball but struggle against the curve, or do not have confidence to hit higher in the order. Slower foot speed may be a factor, too.
9. Contrary to popular belief, this is not the worst hitter on the squad. You should tell your number 9 hitters that they are a second-leadoff man and the walk is as good as a hit. If he gets on base twice in a game, odds are that you will win. This spot is reserved for a slumping player or one who has trouble with the breaking ball, but nonetheless, has a good eye and has good speed.
And one final note….Why not make up formal lineup cards with your school/team name and logo and a spot for your signature? Type it all on a half sheet of paper and run off on colored paper. It is just another little thing that makes your team a bit more classy and professional.

Post subject: J. Green?????
Oh, by the way, in the post by "F---THAT" that is above this! WHO THE FUCK IS "J.Green?" I thought I knew who was on our team! Grant it, some guys have last names that most of us would have any idea what they were. Like Juddy: his last name is Kennedy. Or Glea is short for Gleason. Or Johnny Mac (I still don't know what his last name is, but I asume Mac is short for McCullough (like former sixer, Todd) or some or of Irish McSomething last name! So, I'll ask again. Who the FUCK is J. Green? Well, atleast he came up big in the clutch last year! LOL! Maybe it was former Eagles DE Jamal Green?
P.S. greenWALD, most on the guys have no idea what your last name is! So, please, stop appreviating it! I know it is so hard to finishing typing the final 4 letters (W-A-L-D.) But in the future, type it out so we can avoid confusion!

Post subject: Starting Line-up
I'll be damned to be riding pine behind a defensive liability like M Smith!!!Do you not recall what turned the finals around?I sure do...The sitting of Smitty and sparks made a comeback possible..All the big hits of J Cass,J Wolf,J.Green,And myself would be meaningless if those 2 error machines remained in the field...A career back-up DH is the biggest role I can see 4 Mr.. Smith..Mr.Sparks should fellow up on that oppertunaty to be a Moon am. bartender..Do not allow the talents of team leader /future lead-off man Quinny be wasted behind dead wood....Change line-up or Im going free-agent on your ass!!

Although I talk shit all the time and deserve some stuff...I will accept this batting order no problem but I will gurantee that I plan to be an asshole all day long if I hit and the people in front of me don't....The same people are in front of me have been on this team when i was batting 2,3,4,or 5 but that is fine... Ever since we grabbed some clowns from Longshots my stock has gone down probably having to do wtih Keith Patterson's shit talking. But this is all fine. I will easily accept the role of 9 hitter and produce way more than what a 9 hitter is supposed to produce. I have game after game when I get 6 and 7 hits a double header and a game here and there where I completely get shut out and don't get one hit and people see that and can't forget it. I am angry as shit right now and whether I should be or not be I don't care. I am an okay 1st baseman at best and have no problem in the world sharing responsibilities with glea as I continue to try and better myself at first. I will not, however, lay down and allow my worthy contributions go without forethought. I have been a huge factor in big games and during big at bats almost EVERY time not just a couple here and there. Winning games when only a couple of guys are hitting. I fucking crush the ball every at bat and not meaning that I hit it in the outfield or for homeruns b/c I certainly do not but on grounders for singles where there isn't even a chance for a play at first base to get me and especially not a double play. Which should be apparent by the fact that I normally can't even run or that I literally couldn't run during the last 3 double headers of the season. I would love for my jersey this year to be change from 00 to number 9 so I can wake up every Sunday and have a reminder that I have to get up and continually prove myself to a team of mostly unappreciative clowns. See you March 24th, I will probably be at the field first eventhough I live the furthest away.
